Fred Surr is a producer, writer, and director. As Vice President and
Co-founder of Video Research, Inc. from 1983-90, he co-created, developed and
produced the children's series Spinnaker Videos, which sold over 250,000
units in the home video market; and The Adventures of Commander Crumbcake, a
thirteen-episode series which aired on Showtime, Canada's Global Network, and
in 22 overseas markets. Additional writing and directing credits include
Reading Rainbow (PBS), as well as two children's series for Silver Burdett &
Ginn, a division of Simon & Schuster. Surr has over a decade of experience
running his own production company, producing a wide variety of programming
for corporations and ad agencies.
As a principal with Fred and Ted Entertainment, Fred's responsibilities include
producing, directing, and story development. Most recently, Fred produced and
directed THERE ONCE WAS A MAN FROM PAWTUCKET, Fred & Ted's short film comedy
currently appearing at film festivals.
Ted Page began his career as a copywriter/scriptwriter with the
McCann-Erickson advertising agency in New York City. In 1993, Page formed
Captains of Industry, a consulting business that provided ad agencies and
video/multimedia production companies with copy and scripts for a wide range
of projects, from videos to radio commercials, print ads, Web sites, CD-ROMs,
and DVDs. Page is the author of true-life feature magazine stories which have
appeared in Boston Magazine, as well as THE WILLOUGHBY CHRONICLES, a memoir.
As a principal with Fred and Ted Entertainment, Page is primarily responsible
for producing and script development. He wrote the script for (and acted in)
THERE ONCE WAS A MAN FROM PAWTUCKET.
